Use LinkedIn From Outlook

Did you know that you can download all of your contacts from LinkedIn right into Outlook? You now can. LinkedIn and Microsoft recently partnered together to allow you to see your contacts and message them right from Outlook. If someone emails you that isn’t a connection in LinkedIn, you can invited them to connect directly from Outlook.

If you want to network and use LinkedIn, it’s a very powerful tool.

To get started, all you have to do is:

  1. Download the Outlook Social Connector from Microsoft. Outlook 2003, 2007 or 2010 is required for this.
  2. Now download the LinkedIn Outlook Connector from LinkedIn.
  3. Restart Outlook and follow the directions to connect your LinkedIn account to your Outlook

As soon as the two connect, Outlook will import your LinkedIn connections, allowing you to view all of the profile photos and activity in your LinkedIn account.

Here is a short video demonstrating how it works.
